This is a short show at 17 some minutes but it is a good thing because I had it all recorded and pretty much ready to go and had an epic failure with my laptop and backup disk and lost it all! Lesson learned: back up to the cloud also! You’re not missing anything that should be here though.
In this episode I talk about shooting with both eyes open versus closing one eye, and sort of fade into talking about cross dominance and how to deal with it. Then I read a lazy review I wrote about theBodyguard .380 pocket pistol.

In this first show I introduce myself and the idea behind the podcast. I then give my thoughts on building versus buying your first AR rifle. At the very last minute I decided to throw some thoughts in on dry fire practice after a discussion I had with a coworker.
This is all really new to me and I am sort of working through learning the software and what different bits of it do so, if any parts of this sound out of whack or hurt your ears, I apologize, I’m a podcasting noob.

Welcome to Empty Mags, the shooting podcast for a regular person, by a regular guy.
The industry, as well as the “gun culture” in general, is full of “tactical”, “high-speed”, “operator” and more “warrior mentality” than the average Joe with a handgun or rifle may be familiar with. It’s not that there is anything wrong with the terms above or the people that embrace them; but from my perspective there is a severe lack of information out there that is geared towards the “low speed, high drag” type shooters like myself.
